ERGOSUTURE’S GROUNDBREAKING PRODUCT LINE

Including Drive'N Roll, Drive'N Roll End-Effector, X-Needle, and RBS In Cardiology, are designed with cutting-edge features that redefine surgical suturing.

Among these, our self-aligning needle technology stands out as a major breakthrough. It eliminates the need for manual needle adjustment, making suturing more efficient and less stressful.

RBS: ROLLER-BASED
SUTURING TECHNOLOGY

Experience the freedom of dexterity with our RBS suturing platform. It allows you to grasp the needle anywhere along its axis, making surgical sturing easier, safer, and faster.
The RBS platform is versatile and deployable across all surgical settings, from open to minimally invasive, including endoluminal surgery.
It's adaptable to both laparoscopic and robotic surgery, enhancing your suturing proficiency and significantly reducing suturing time.
The RBS device self-rights and self-aligns most commercial needles, enabling one-hand suturing (no grasper needed to position the needle), providing effortless operation and enhanced safety.

DRIVE’N ROLL™

The Drive'N Roll is a laparoscopic handheld device that minimizes needle handling time and offers a shorter learning curve than other advanced needle drivers.
It enhances your suturing capabilities without requiring lengthy device-specific training.
The Drive'N Roll simplifies needle handling, and reduces the number of steps needed for suturing tasks, thus decreasing overall suturing time, stress, and fatigue.

DRIVE’N ROLL

END-EFFECTORS

When applied to Robot-Assisted Surgery (RAS) end-effector, our RBS technology transforms each Drive’N Roll end-effector into a multi-functional tool.
It can function as a needle-driver, a grasper, or a dissector, thus reducing tool replacement downtime and cutting down steps during the procedure.
The variable clamping force of the RBS Drive’N Roll end-effector also helps to minimize tissue damage, providing greater control and enhanced safety.

X-NEEDLE

Our proprietary X-Needle addresses various suturing challenges, such as enabling one-hand suturing (with RBS products and conventional needle drivers), and reducing needle drops when inserting the needlethrough the port.

RBS IN CARDIOLOGY

By combining features from the RBS-Platform and the X-Needle, we aim to bring to market the first-ever suture-based Transcatheter solution for outpatient surgery.
Its applications are multiple and will be unparalleled when launched, such Mitral and Tricuspid Valve Repair (TMVR & TTVR) systems, paravalvular leak repair, atrial septal defect closure, edge-to-edge stitches, and plication of the prolapsed mitral valve leaflet.
This innovation will be the first viable solution for high-risk patients suffering from Mitral and Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation (MVR & TVR).
ErgoSuture’s TMVR treatment secures a Segmentally Adjustable Transcatheter Annuloplasty Ring (SATAR™) using sutures, similar to the gold-standard open surgery treatment, aiming to treat a significant portion of the 176 million global patients suffering from MVR & TVR.

ErgoSuture is a medical device company with innovative suturing solutions for closing various patient tissue layers, using rollers instead of flat tips to drive surgical needles. ErgoSuture was founded by ErgoSurgical Group, a medical device research boutique, which partners with subject matter experts to develop surgical solutions that help improve suturing safety, speed and versatility.

ErgoSuture owns all patents and products related to rotational driver's technology and has full freedom to operate worldwide. Our product lines empower surgeons and other trained caregivers to close up patient's deep-tissue incisions and wounds easier, safer and faster and at a lower cost per procedure.

ErgoSuture is rapidly growing into a global organization with EMEA HQ based out of the Netherlands, R&D based in San Diego, CA and Medical Affairs operating out of France. Through our Roller Based Suturing (RBS) platform, we are improving suturing proficiency across all surgical settings, from Open to Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), including both Laparoscopic and Robot-Assisted Surgeries (RAS).

Our Mission: Driving surgical innovations through the design and development of advanced suturing systems for closing patient skin and deep-tissue openings is OUR MISSION.

Our Vision: Is to offer comprehensive suturing solutions that become universal standards of care and broadens surgical ACCESS worldwide.

SUTURING

IN TIGHT SPACES

  • ACCESS TO DIFFICULT AREAS
The RBS Tips allow for suturing in areas that are traditionally difficult to reach during minimally invasive surgery.
  • ENHANCED SURGICAL OUTCOMES
Enables surgeons to suture in critical areas with ease, control and precision and with less tissue tearing, ensuring better post-operative results.
  • VERSATILITY IN COMPLEX PROCEDURES ACROSS MULTIPLE SURGICAL PLATFORMS
Whether suturing in the abdominal cavity, inside the colon, or the uterus at 3, 6, or 12 o'clock, or any other challenging angle, the RBS Tips provide unparalleled ease of use and precision.

SELF-ALIGNING

  • CONSISTENT NEEDLE POSITIONING
Automatic alignment (self-righting) ensures the needle is always in the optimal position for suturing.
  • REDUCED PROCEDURE TIME
Minimizes manual adjustments, leading to faster and more efficient suturing.

ANYWHERE GRIP

  • ONE-HAND SUTURING
Surgeons can grasp the needle anywhere and use the rollers to position it as they see fit, allowing for more precise control during suturing, without using a grasper (second hand).
  • VERSATILITY
Adaptable for various surgical platforms and eliminating the need for tool replacement (end-effector) in robot-assisted surgery.
  • ENHANCED CONTROL
The controlled rolling motion of the needle reduces the risk of inadvertently puncturing nearby organs, vessels, and nerves, ensuring a more secure, safe and efficient suturing process.

ENHANCED

SAFETY

  • SMOOTH NEEDLE MOVEMENT
The rollers facilitate a steady and consistent needle glide through tissues, reducing tissue trauma.
  • ENHANCED TISSUE PROTECTION
Minimizes tissue damage and reduces the risk of post-operative complications.
  • OPTIMAL NEEDLE ROTATION
Ensures the needle rotates at the right angle, enhancing the precision and consistency of each stitch.

FASTER SUTURING

  • TIME-SAVING
Reduces the number of repetitive steps, leading to quicker completion of the suturing process.
  • CONSISTENT STITCH QUALITY
Ensures each stitch is of uniform quality, enhancing the overall outcome of the surgery.
  • ENHANCED EXPERIENCE
By simplifying the suturing system, surgeons can focus on what matters most: the patient and the procedure, leading to a smoother, more efficient, and more satisfying surgical experience for everyone involved.

EASIER NEEDLE

HANDLING

  • ENHANCED COMFORT
The ergonomic handle design and roller-based suturing system minimize strain on the surgeon's hand, allowing for longer surgeries without discomfort or surgeon fatigue.
  • INCREASED SURGICAL STAMINA
Surgeons can perform multiple procedures in succession without experiencing hand fatigue.
  • REDUCED RISK OF REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURIES
Prolonged use of the RBS system is less likely to lead to hand and wrist injuries compared to traditional suturing methods.
